Biography – Warrant Officer Ernest Thomas Hardern

Family situation

• Ernest Thomas Hardern was the son of the landlord of the Blue Bell Inn, Wrinehill and his wife.
• He had 2 sisters.
• He married Constance Victoria and they had a daughter, Helen Victoria.
• They lived at ‘Dunroamin’, Den Lane, Wrinehill.

Service

• He enlisted in 1940 and served with the 205 Squadron of the RAF Volunteer Reserve as a Sgt Warrant Officer in the Flying Corps in Ceylon

Buried

• He died from a duodenal ulcer in December 1945 and is buried at Kandy War Cemetery in Sri Lanka.
